Two very useful tools and often the most used Web Parts are the To Do List and the Last Accessed List. The To Do List consists of functions and forms that are to be processed regularly. Each user can decide which items are to be included in the list through the 'My Settings' function. Not all functions and forms need be in the list if the user infrequently uses them. When an item needs attention, it will be indicated by the number in parenthesis. In our example here, the 'Un-Validated ID Note (1)' item has one note to be completed by the user. As a web part on the Home Page, it acts as a reminder and a quick glance can direct the user to their next task. If the user wants to process items through the To Do List, the list should be expanded to its full page by clicking on the maximize icon in the upper right corner of the web part.
When the To Do List is maximized, the full page list is displayed as shown below. Note that each item can be expanded to show details as has been done here with the 'Un-Validated ID Notes'. From here, the user can click on a detail item to go to that ID Note where it can be validated.
The Last Accessed List shown below is a reminder of those items in various categories that the user has last worked on. The items fall into four categories; Consumers, ID Notes, Forms, and Reports. Each category lists the five most recent items which the user accessed. Unlike the To Do List, there is no equivalent maximized or full page list because the number of items in each category is limited and each item can be linked to directly from the web part.
